City of Rome woman arrested on larceny charges
On Monday, April 10, 2018, State Police in Marcy arrested Sophia A. Boykin, 56, of Rome, for three counts of petit larceny stemming from an investigation into fraudulent purchases made using her New York state-issued credit card.
Boykin, while employed by NYS Developmental Disabilities State Operations Offices in Utica, is accused of using her NYS issued credit card for unauthorized purchases at TOPS supermarket in the city of Rome, Wal-Mart in the city of Utica and Panera Bread in the town of New Hartford.
Boykin was issued appearance ticket’s returnable to Rome City Court, Utica City Court and the town of New Hartford Court.
