McGinley, Huber Lead Way; Final Round Tuesday
Quinn McGinley and Andrew Huber fired matching rounds of 5-over-par 76 to pace Colgate in the first round of the Wildcat Spring Invitational.
Monday’s play saw the Raiders shoot 25-over 309 as a team, landing them in 18th place heading into Tuesday’s final round of 18 holes.
McGinley and Huber are tied for 55th place out of more than 100 golfers at the halfway mark. Scott Adams shot 77 and Armando Olivieri III 80 to round out the Colgate scoring. Alex Morrison fired an 81.
Drexel leads the team race at 2-under-par 282, and David Powers of St. Peter’s is the individual leader at 3 under par.
Play resumes Tuesday at noon at the White Manor Country Club. The weather forecast calls for a high in the upper 40s under mostly sunny skies.
