Buttermann, candidate for Assembly District 121, to meet voters in Oneida

On Wednesday, June 6, Dan Buttermann, candidate for New York Assembly District 121, will be in Oneida to meet with voters. A free “meet and greet” event will be held that evening at Alexander’s Ragtime on Main Street from 6 to 8 p.m. Butterman is eager to meet more residents of the Oneida area, listen to what they need from state government and present his vision for the region.

This event will also feature Melissa Stearns, candidate for justice of the New York State Supreme Court for the 6th District.

Buttermann is an elected school board member from Oneonta, a NYCM Claims Manager and Oneonta Civic Leader (“20 under 40”, Otsego County Chamber, 2015). He has previously declared his candidacy for the Democratic Party nomination for the office of Assemblyman for District 121, covering Madison County and portions of Otsego and Oneida counties.

Buttermann serves on the Oneonta City Schools Board of Education, the Board of Directors of Opportunities for Otsego, and the Oneonta Concert Association. In 2017, Buttermann was the lead organizer for the first TEDxOneonta and TEDxOneontaWomen events held in September and November, which brought together citizens from diverse backgrounds and experiences to hear inspiring ideas from the TEDx stage and to connect with each other.

Additionally, he has served on the town of Oneonta Planning Board, is a member of the Oneonta Rotary Club, performs regularly with the Oneonta Community Concert Band and teaches courses on negotiation and organizational behavior at Hartwick College.

Buttermann graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in clarinet performance and later from Southern Methodist University with a master’s degree in business administration.
