Robotics Rocks at the Canastota Public Library’s Summer Reading Program
Teens and tweens, between the ages of 10 and 15, have the opportunity to take part in a Robotics Group at the Canastota Public Library this summer. Monday, June 25, through Thursday, June 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., students will create, build and program robots to perform specific missions.
Since the program builds on each day’s activities, it is important that participants attend every day of the weeklong session. Volunteers for Robotics Rocks are adults who work in technology related fields and the hope is that the participants will be interested in pursuing educational and career options in technology. This is the fifth year that the Canastota Public Library has operated this fun summer program. The library also offers drop-in sessions throughout the year when students can drop in to build and program robots.
Applications for this program are currently available at the Canastota Public Library and due back to the library by June 11. Space is limited and the application process will be used in the selection process. If you have any questions, feel free to call the library at 315.697.7030.
