Check out this year’s National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame ballot, in the divisional coaching section, and a familiar name from Colgate and Patriot League football circles sits in Position A.

Dick Biddle is officially a candidate for the College Football Hall of Fame.

Biddle retired in 2013 as the winningest head football coach in Colgate and Patriot League history. He served 18 seasons, compiling a 137-73 (.652) overall record and winning three out of every four conference games he coached with an 81-27 (.750) mark against league competition.

The Raiders under Biddle won seven Patriot League crowns, and five times he was named Patriot League Coach of the Year. He also nabbed national coach of the year honors in 2003 after guiding Colgate to a 15-1 record and a berth in the Division I-AA title game.

Biddle in 2015 was inducted to the Colgate Athletics Hall of Honor.

Voting for the 2019 Class runs through June 22, and the announcement of this year’s class takes place Jan. 7 in Santa Clara, Calif., date and site of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
