“Discover the Depths of Water” with Friends of Rogers
Water is one of the most important elements of life on earth. It covers roughly 70 percent of the planet’s surface, and up to 60 percent of a human body is water.
Join Friends of Rogers for a four session series to “Discover the Depths of Water” when visitors will participate in sampling activities and learn about the chemistry behind water testing. During lessons taught by scientists in the field, participants will discover common pollutants found in water, their sources, and what we can do to help clean our water.
“Discover the Depths of Water” will take place from 10 am to 12:30 pm on June 23 and 30 and July 14 and 21 at Rogers Environmental Education Center, just off state Route 80 in Sherburne. Recommended for ages 12 and up, participation is limited to six participants, so pre-registration must be made by noon on June 22.
The registration fee of $19 per member and $24 per not-yet-member covers the entire series.
Call (607) 674-4733 or email sr.educator@FriendsofRogers.org to register.
