Megan Havican receives Debate Society Honors
Megan Havican of Cazenovia was honored at the 18th annual Great Debate. Havican received a Cazenovia College Debate Society honor for Strongest Response Argument by a member of the Opposition Team.
The Cazenovia College Debate Society argued the question of whether all U.S. citizens aged 18 and above shall be required to vote in federal elections. The Great Debate included prepared arguments, cross-examination and questions from the audience. Two teams, affirmative and opposition, tackled the pros and cons of the issue of whether or not all U.S. citizens aged 18 and above shall be required to vote in federal elections.
