Local nurse arrested for stealing iPhone from a patient while she visited doctor’s office
State Police arrested Kelly A. Churney, 39, from Auburn, for petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.
Churney, a nurse at a local doctor’s office in the town of DeWitt, is accused of taking an Apple iPhone 6 plus from a patient’s purse, while the victim was using the restroom. The value of the smart phone is estimated at $749.
Churney was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in DeWitt Town Court at 6 p.m. July 3, 2018.
