Assemblyman Brian Miller issues statement on end of session
We certainly had some legislative accomplishments this year, including increased funding to improve our local roads and increased funding for our area schools, but far too much was left undone. We witnessed more corruption, but the majority again refused to take action to stop further corruption from happening.
Instead, their priority was to pass a bill that creates a ‘Jamaican Bobsled team’ license plate. Passing on common-sense ethics reform while advancing trivial legislation is unacceptable and yet another disservice to the people of this state.
