Kessler of Cazenovia participates in Students Inside Albany Conference
Sophia Kessler, Cazenovia High School incoming senior, attended the NYS League of Women Voters Students Inside Albany Conference back in May. On June 21, Kessler shared her experience at the annual meeting of the Cazenovia League of Women Voters.
Kessler was one of 59 students from League of Women Voters chapters across New York state.
She got to meet with Sen. David Valesky, received a tour of the capital, and at a joint session of the state Assembly and Senate, she witnessed the swearing in ceremony of Attorney General Barbara Underwood, the first woman to hold the office. She also learned about lobbying and the state legislative process.
After high school, Kessler plans on seeking additional education in law or science.
