Brindisi encourages summer reading
Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi visited schoolchildren recently to talk about the importance of reading.
“I was pleased to again join area residents from all walks of life at Watson Williams Elementary School in Utica at its annual Community Readers Day,” Brindisi said. “Every year, I encourage students to spend a little time each day reading over the summer by sponsoring the Summer Reading Program. It is an excellent way for children to continue the progress they made over the school year.
“If there’s a child you know who would be interesting in participating this year, there’s still time to be a part of the program. Contact my office to request a Summer Reading Program brochure-or simply download the brochure HERE.
