Beaver Creek Paddle with Friends of Rogers has been rescheduled
Those who thought they missed last month’s paddle excursion with Friends of Rogers will be glad to know the popular program has been rescheduled.
Join Friends of Rogers at 9 a.m. July 14, 2018, for a scenic paddle down Beaver Creek. Sponsored by Cruz Outdoors, this leisurely outing is perfect for all experience levels.
“We are extremely grateful to Cruz Outdoors for partnering with us this year,” said Simon Solomon, Friends of Rogers executive director. “Generous support from local businesses such as Cruz Outdoors allows us to continue offering high-quality recreational programming. Canoeing and kayaking gives boaters the chance to see familiar landscapes from new perspectives.”
Boaters must be at least 13 years of age, and if under age 18, must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited on this excursion and advance reservations are required. Not-yet-member registration options are: canoe (space for two boaters) $35, kayak $30, and personal vessel $20.
Member registration options are: canoe (space for two boaters) $30, kayak $25, and personal vessel $15. The meet-up location for the paddle is the main parking lot at Rogers Center on Route 80 in Sherburne. (Inclement weather date for this program is July 15.)

Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational programs for people of all ages. Summer hours are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
