Utica Public Library to present ‘All that Hot Jazz’
On Friday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m., the Utica Public Library will host The Monk Rowe Quartet as they present “All that Hot Jazz” in the library gallery.
The event is meant to capture the hot jazz club experience, so seating will be arranged closer to the band and free refreshments will be served to attendees while the quartet performs.
Monk Rowe will feature John Hutson and Tom McGrath. Finger snappin’ classics from The Golden Era of Jazz will be performed and will encompass tunes from Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt, Fats Waller, Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong.
