The Arc of Madison Cortland thanks this year’s members

As the time to submit membership numbers to The Arc New York approaches The Arc of Madison Cortland would like to thank everyone who has joined this year and invite anyone new who would like to become a member to do so now.

Your membership helps support people with developmental disabilities in many different ways.

“Membership directly effects how loud our voice is when we go to Albany or Washington to fight alongside self-advocates to support the BFair2DirectCare campaign as well as their battle

for equal rights,” said Joseph Kachnic, spokesman for The Arc of Madison Cortland. “For as little as $5, you can become a member of The Arc of Madison Cortland and directly improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities within Madison and Cortland counties.”

“Five dollars could buy couple gallons of gas that may be able to get a group to go horseback riding, go to a fair or go do something outside to that gets them involved with our community,” said board member Joseph Zifchock. “Membership is simple, allowing you to be as involved as you want to be. These are our friends, our neighbors, our family members, and we can’t let them fall through the cracks.”
