Cazenovia Masons to hold chicken-and-biscuit fundraiser dinner
Cazenovia Lodge No. 616 Free and Accepted Masons will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at its Lodge, 2836 Route 20 in Cazenovia; the Lodge is located on the south side of Route 20, just west of Nelson Heights Road and is wheelchair accessible.
John Becker, Worshipful Master, said the Lodge will be raising funds not only for the Lodge, but also for Caz Cares. He said Masonry is the world’s largest and oldest fraternity of good men.
He explained that part of being a Mason is to help to relieve suffering.
“Caz Cares does exactly what Masonry sets out to do: relieve suffering,” Becker said. “We could think of no better cause to support.”
The Cazenovia Lodge is planning a series of fundraisers, sharing a part of the proceeds with Caz Cares.
The cost is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for children ages 12 and under. In order to make this a family-friendly event, families will pay no more than $25.
