Brookfield man arrested for sexually abusing a 14-year-old
On Dec. 13, 2018, at 12:31 p.m., investigators with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason W. Edson, 44, of Brookfield, on charges of second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse (both class D felonies), four counts of forcible touching (class A misdemeanor), five counts of third-degree sexual abuse, five counts of endangering the welfare of a child and a single count of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana (both class B misdemeanors).
It is alleged that between October and December 2018, Edson sexually abused a 14-year-old girl on multiple occasions in the town of Eaton and the town of Brookfield.
When investigators went to Edson’s residence, they discovered 41.8 grams of marijuana.
Edson was arraigned Eaton Town Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond; he is scheduled to appear in Brookfield Town Court Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
