Bronx man arrested in Cazenovia for drug possession

On Dec. 13, 2018, at 11:55 p.m., Madison County Narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at 58 ½ Albany St., Cazenovia, and arrested Neil M. Howard, Jr., 27 of 4061 White Plains Road, Bronx.

Howard was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (class B felony), fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (class C felony), fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (class D felony), seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (class A misdemeanor) and unlawful possession of marijuana (a violation).

It is alleged that Howard possessed three grams of marijuana and 65.4 grams of cocaine that was individually packaged in gram-sized bags indicative of drug sales.

Howard was arraigned in Cazenovia Village Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond. Howard is scheduled to return to court Dec. 18 at 1 p.m.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Cazenovia Police Department and the state police assisted with the investigation and the search warrant.
