On Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., State Police in Remsen responded to a two-car head-on crash on State Route 28 in the town of Webb, Herkimer County.

The investigation revealed a 2014 Ford Focus, operated by 29-year-old Jessie E. Dresch was headed southwest on State Route 28 when, for an unknown reason, she crossed over the double solid yellow line and into the eastbound lane striking a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, operated by Ryan M. Gaffney, 37, head-on.

The impact from the crash caused the Tahoe to become airborne and land on its roof, on the east side shoulder of the roadway.

Jessie Dresch was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with internal and head injuries and was listed in critical condition.

Gaffney and two passengers, ages 28 and 3, were transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
