City announces agenda, New Year’s holiday hours

NOTE: City of Oneida Offices and the Oneida City Court will close at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, and will be closed New Year’s Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, in recognition of the New Year’s holiday.

AGENDA: Special Meeting – Year-end Closeout

APPROVAL OF TAX WARRANT:  Approve the 2019 tax warrant. (Andrews)

AMUSEMENT DEVICE LICENSE:  Approve the Amusement Device License for Neil’s Vending LLC for machines at the Owls Club, Elks Club, American Legion and Oneida Towers. (Pulverenti)

BUDGET TRANSFERS/AMENDMENTS:  Approve the allocation of funds to cover the PAC99 payment, for insurance proceeds for vehicle accident repair, to cover payroll chargebacks to 2018, and to fund the Sewer Employee Liability Reserve and General Employee Liability Reserve. (Wells)

PUBLIC HEARING – Proposed Local Law to amend Chapter 18, §180-32(B) of the Oneida City Code to regulate the placing, pushing shoveling or depositing of snow.

OLD BUSINESS

*Approval of minutes regular meeting 12/18/18

ORGANIZATIONAL RESOLUTION: Designate Common Council meeting times, designate official newspaper, name banks where City funds will be retained and bond amount for employees. (Mayor)

SCRAP METAL: Authorize the DPW, Water, WWTP, Fire, Police, and Recreation Departments to sell scrap metal at fair market value for the remainder of the year. (Pulverenti)

CANVASS & APPROVE BIDS: Canvass and approve bids for ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves and hydrants for the Water Department. (Schuler/Wells)

AGREEMENT: Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2019 annual agreement with BRiDGES a/k/a Madison County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc. for the Employee Assistance Program per the federal mandate. (Wells)

BUDGET AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS: Approve budget transfers to allocate funds for increase in the Fire Contract and Administrative Aide position and for 207A for increase in Fire Contract. (Wells)

AMEND 2019 BUDGET: Amend the 2019 Budget to replace the Senior Typist position to an Administrative Aide position in the Fire Department. (Fields/Wells)

ANNUAL REPORT: Receive and place on file the annual report from the City Engineer. (Schuler)

ADVERTISE FOR BIDS: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for water meters for the year 2019. (Schuler)

NEW BUSINESS

EXECUTIVE SESSION: Proposed acquisition, sale or lease of real property
