Congressman Anthony Brindisi was sworn in to office today, beginning his first term representing New York’s 22nd Congressional District. Brindisi took the oath of office and reiterated his commitment to work across party lines to best serve Upstate New York.
“I am honored today to take the oath of office to serve the people of New York’s 22nd Congressional District,” Brindisi said. “Upstate New Yorkers put their trust in me, and it is a responsibility that I take very seriously. It’s time to end the Washington dysfunction and get to work. I’m ready to reach across the aisle and work with members of both parties to ensure quality, affordable health care, create good-paying jobs, and deliver results for the people of this community.”
Brindisi said he also followed through on his campaign promise to not support Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House.
