(Canastota, NY – May 2013) The Village of Canastota, in partnership with the Canastota Canal Town Museum, received a grant in January from the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Commission. The town of Lenox has agreed to lease land forever to the Canastota Canal Town Museum for a permanent display for its 1899 Watson Wagon. A building will be erected in front of the Lenox Skate Park sometime in September. (Margo Frink)
