The Oneida Area Christian Churches Council will hold the annual community-wide ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at St. Joseph’s Church, 121 St. Joseph Place, Oneida, Sunday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m.
Representatives from area churches will conduct the service, which is open to all area residents.

The annual CROP Hunger Walk organized by the Canastota Area Association of Churches will be held on Sunday, October 16. Registration will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the United Church, 144 West Center St., where the walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. and walkers will gather afterwards. The Canastota Police Department will provide an escort.
The Vernon Center Church is having a ham and scalloped potato dinner Oct. 22, 2016, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Menu is ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, squash, applesauce, rolls and butter and pie for dessert, (brownies for takeout orders).
