(Hamilton, NY- March 2015) Spring has sprung at the Hamilton Public Library. We’re looking forward to planting seeds in the butterfly garden out back. In the meantime, come feast your eyes on the wonderful artwork gracing the walls in our gallery space.

The Exceptional Art Exhibit will remain on display through the end of March, so you have a few more days to stop in and enjoy the creative talents of these many special artists. Presently, we are preparing to host the Community Art Show. We encourage community artists to select one of their favorite original artworks to showcase.  Participants are also invited to submit a one-page description of their artwork or a brief biography for inclusion in our exhibition catalog.  We are currently accepting artwork and artist information. All entries should be brought to the library during our regular business hours, no later than Tuesday, March 31.  Entry forms are available at the circulation desk that week and should accompany all artwork.

The Community Art Exhibit will be on display from April 6 through May 16 this year.

Hobbit Fans ages 11 and over are invited to join us for a Hobbit-themed Elevenses Party on Thursday, April 2 at 11a.m. Come to the Community Room at the Hamilton Public Library for feasting and fun. Activities will include sampling traditional Hobbit fare, riddles, games, a treasure hunt, door prizes, and laughing at live dragons. (OK, maybe not that last part.) Costumes are encouraged but not required. Bring a friend or 13 — the more, the merrier!
