On Oct. 18, 2017, at approximately 1:40 p.m., State Police responded to the area of the Dewitt Service Plaza, I-90, in the Town of Dewitt for a report of a possible criminal mischief complaint. The investigation at the scene revealed that two drivers were involved in a possible road rage incident on I-90 in the town of Dewitt.
After the alleged incident, Matthew J. Hunt, 36, of Herber Springs, Ark., observed the other person’s vehicle at the Dewitt Service Plaza and intentionally caused damage to the unoccupied vehicle. Hunt was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Syracuse where he was subsequently charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony.
Hunt was released on an appearance ticket made returnable in Dewitt Town Court Oct. 24, 2017, at 6 p.m.
