To the Editor:
I want you to vote for my friend Ann Jones, and I want you to know that Ann is not just a friend of mine, but has spent years serving and helping people throughout Madison County, and she has done so without regard to party politics or affiliation. She has helped people because they needed the help.
Ann has cross-party support. Ask anyone in governmental work if they know Ann and then ask him or her if she has ever helped them when they’ve had a problem, and you’ll be pleased with the answer.
Aside from her willingness to work and to help, Ann Jones is the perfect candidate for the position of County Clerk. Ann has spent years working in Wampsville and as a result, she knows just how Madison County Government works. Her experience comes first hand, through her employment as the Deputy Commissioner of the Board of Elections over the past many years and through her work serving on various Committees at the County Government level.
Ann Jones has worked as a Human Resources manager for a major retail chain and had the responsibility for budgeting, training administration of benefits and dozens of employees. For years, Ann has served the Madison County Community by her service on the Boards of many charitable organizations including the Community Action Partnership, Bridges-Madison County Council on Alcoholism & Substance Abuse, Co-Chair of the Madison County Employee Assistance Program, she has served as a parent advocate for the Committee on Special Education in the Cazenovia School District, she been a tutor, a steward, a dispatcher for CAVAC and Secretary for the Morrisville Fire District.
Ann wants this job because she knows that she will do well at it, she knows that she has, over her lifetime of employment and public service, acquired the skills needed to do this job. With Ann, there isn’t any need to speculate about whether her past experience, professionally and personal provide her with the skills to do the job, she has them and she will be an excellent County Clerk.
Let’s do the right thing: let’s all vote for Ann Jones for Madison County Clerk.
