Alan Williamson, Jr., announced that he is running for a seat on the Lenox Town Council. He is endorsed by the Democratic Party, Working Families Party, Independence Party, the Central and Northern New York Building and Construction Trades Council and IBEW Local 43.
“I think that some folks might underestimate the benefits of living and working in Lenox,” Williamson said. “I’d like to work together to shine a light on our missed opportunities and welcome new community members with open arms.
“I also appreciate hard work and recognize the challenges that many people face every day. I’d like to do what I can as a member of the Lenox Town Council to help struggling families.”
Williamson also said he would focus on maintaining roads and infrastructure, ensure smart purchasing and responsible investment of tax dollars and work toward creating a strong, diverse local economy that leverages the area’s unique opportunities.
Williamson grew up in Vernon Center and has worked at Ferris Industries for almost 20 years. He and his wife Kelly moved to Lenox in 2013 with their two dogs, Buster and Dakota.
