State police arrested Osman M. Ali, 34, of Syracuse, for promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony; and possession of a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
On Oct. 10, 2019, the NYSP Troop D Computer Crime Unit executed a search warrant at 105 Smith Lane Apt. 15, Syracuse, following a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child pornography was being disseminated from that address.
Following the search, Ali was subsequently arrested and charged with uploading and downloading images of child pornography. He was processed at SP North Syracuse and transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center for centralized arraignment.
