(Utica, NY – Feb. 2013) What’s more daunting for the parents of a college student than final grades? For many, it is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) form, the first step toward getting federal aid for college, career school or graduate school. It’s the time of year to complete the annual form, which is required by many colleges. To make the burden easier, Utica College will host a workshop on the form on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required, as space is limited. Computers and assistance will be available.

To register for the workshop, visit www.utica.edu/finance/sfs/registration.cfm.

Participants should bring their 2012 tax information to complete the form.

For more information, visit www.utica.edu or contact the Office of Student Financial Services at (315) 792-3179.
