Morrisville State tops field for second straight season

(Morrisville, NY – Feb. 18, 2013) The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced its 2013 Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament pairings Sunday, with Morrisville State College topping the tournament field.
Morrisville State completed its 2012-13 schedule on Saturday, recording a 19-5 overall record, and 13-2 mark in conference play, claiming the North Division regular season title for the second straight year. The Mustangs will face the winner of the Tuesday play-in game between Penn State Abington (10-4 NEAC) and Penn State Harrisburg (8-6), Saturday, February 23 at 2 p.m. on the Morrisville State campus.
Penn State Berks, who finished the regular conference schedule with a 11-3 NEAC record, claimed the top spot in the Southern Division and face Wells College (8-7 NEAC), in the second semi-final on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Morrisville.
Winners of the semi-final games will advance to the championship, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. in Morrisville.
