(Center Valley, Pa. – Feb. 25, 2013) The Colgate women’s lacrosse team continued to bring home weekly honors this season as Alison Flood and Lauren Gorajek were tabbed with accolades after a 1-1 week for the Raiders.

Flood was named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week and Gorajek
earned her first weekly honor for the Raiders as rookie of the week.

Flood totaled eight goals, four ground balls, six draw controls and a
caused turnover in a 1-1 week for the Raiders. She came through with a
career-high tying five goals, including the game-winner, as well as
four draw controls in a 16-12 victory at Marist. Flood then had three
goals, four ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover in a
13-11 loss at Hofstra on Saturday. She is named Patriot League
Midfield Player of the Week for the first time.

Gorajek had four goals and an assist in two games for the Raiders last
week. She had a goal with two ground balls, two draw controls and a
caused turnover in a 16-12 win over Marist on Tuesday, and totaled
three goals, an assist, two ground balls and two draw controls in
Saturday’s 13-11 loss at Hofstra. Gorajek is Colgate’s first Rookie of
the Week award winner since the 2011 season.

Kate Sheridan was named to the weekly honorable mention list after
compiling five points on a goal and four assists in the two games last
week.

The Raiders will be back at Tyler’s Field on Saturday for a 12 p.m.
start against UMBC.
