(Town of Sullivan, NY – Feb. 2013) The Town of Sullivan Parks and Recreation and the St. Pat’s Knights of Columbus teamed up once again to host the annual Free Throw Competition. The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 9 but, due to the weather, had to be postponed the contest. The rescheduled competition took place Feb. 16 at the Lake Street gymnasium. Despite the date change, more than 50 youth participated in the event.
The competition was held for 6- to 17-year-olds; each participant shot five shots in each round. There was a total of five rounds, so each young person had a total of 25 shots.
We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make this event a success, and we would also like to thank the Chittenango School District for allowing the event take place at their gymnasium. We look forward to next year’s free throw competition, as well as working with St. Pat’s Knights of Columbus again.
