(Canastota, NY – March 2013) Thursday, April 4, farmers are invited to Monanfran Farms, Jennings Road, Canastota, to hear about regulations pertaining to farm trucks, trailers and farm equipment transport. The workshop begins at 1 p.m. in the Kelsey family’s hay barn just off Route 5.

Sergeant Carl Brennan from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit of the New York State Police will cover the rules of the road that govern farm vehicles in New York. He will also cover state Department of Transportation rules and regulations and demonstrate important aspects of a truck inspection.

We plan to have a 10-wheeler, pick-up truck with a trailer and other farm equipment on site for demonstration purposes.
