Chittenango’s Aaron Jones takes a late, hard check after scoring, from Lafayette’s #14. Another late check to the back from same player moments later, early in the third period, led to Jones’s early dismissal and a few moments of penalty box for the offender.

(Chittenango, NY – April 2013) The Chittenango Bears lacrosse suffered a tough loss at home Thursday, April 18, against visiting Lafayette Lancers.

Trailing just 7-5 at half, the Bears had a defensive lapse during the third period, allowing the Lancers to score five unanswered goals for a 12-5 lead.

The gritty Bears rallied back for the game’s next five goals with two missed scoring opportunities in the closing seconds but lost 12-10.

With a sound 17-6 defeat over Bishop Ludden earlier in the week Chittenango is now 4-3 overall and 2-1 in their Division.
