(Chittenango, NY – May 2013) The Sullivan Free Library at 101 Falls Blvd. in Chittenango is currently featuring a series of displays on bees, beekeeping and honey to highlight a fundraiser for the library.
A variety of items used by beekeepers has been loaned to the library by local apiarist Ken Boyce and are on display in the adult area. There are also displays of fiction and non-fiction books for children and adults.
Boyce has also provided supplies of locally produced honey for sale, with ten percent of sales being donated to the library. Prices range from $3 for an 8 oz jar to $20 for a five-pound jar. Proceeds from honey sales will benefit Sullivan Free Library Summer Reading programs. Honey can be purchased at the library during regular hours.
