(Brookfield, NY – May 2013) Madison County clubs and organizations, the honor of your presence is requested at the 174th Madison County Fair, July 11 through 14. The Madison County Fair is an excellent venue to gain community awareness for your organization or club. There is no entry fee, but an entry form must be submitted to reserve space.
This year’s theme is “Madison County Goes Green.”
Premiums are offered for the best exhibits depicting the services of the listed organizations in relation to agriculture, domestic arts and education. Adult division classes include: Homemaker’s Clubs, Historical Societies, Senior Citizen’s Clubs, Granges and any other Adult Organization. Junior Division includes: 4-H Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Other Youth Organization.
Decision of the judges will be based on the following criteria: 40 percent education (interest and help to viewer); 25 percent effectiveness (artistic story that keeps the passerby interested); 25 percent originality (method of presentation, eye catchers, phrases); and 10 percent attractiveness (printing, color, materials).
