(Chittenango, NY – June 2013) The Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum will host its annual Canal Fest Sunday, June 16. “Pirates on the Erie” is the theme this year.
Many family-friendly activities are planned for this event, including a musical skit, youth group mystery play, a scavenger hunt, magic show, kids’ games and crafts and a boat-building demonstration.
All the buildings will be open for visitation, and the Tubful of Treasures raffle tickets will be sold for $1each, seven for $5 and 15 for $10. There will also be door prizes awarded periodically.
The chicken barbecue is still only $8 and includes half a chicken, salt potatoes, salad, roll and cranberry sauce. Admission donation is $6 for adults, $4 for members and 12 and under are free. The museum is located at 717 Lakeport Road, Chittenango.
