To the Editor:
(Munnsville, NY – Aug. 2013) I am writing this to ask for your help with a few things:
1. Please spread the word that a great FREE event will be taking place once again in the village of Munnsville: Madison County Gravity Fest is returning for its eighth year. It will take place the weekend of Aug. 9, with racing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The race will take place on East Hill Road in Munnsville.
2. We are looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks associated with the event – people interested should contact Freida Griffith at 315-813-1030. All abilities and time frames are available.
3. Dr. No Racing, the sanctioning body that runs the actual race is looking for people to assist on the course – there is a need for approximately 10 people each day. It pays $50 a day, and the day is from 7:30 a.m. to around 6 p.m. It is a long day, but you have a front-row seat to this exciting event. There is no age limit, but these people need to be extremely responsible. For more information or to sign up, call me at 315-374-1029.
4. We have a need for hay bales to line areas of the course for rider and spectator safety. We are looking for donations. If you have any bales that you would like to donate, no number is too small.
