The loss drops the Mustangs to 7-6 overall, 5-4 in conference action.

Lancaster got on the board minutes before the end of the first half, as Bethany Stein dribbled through three Morrisville State defenders and had a clear shot inside the near post within the six meter box.

The Chargers increased the lead to two in the 72nd minute as Evelyn Stauffer collected the deflection off Angela Marriotts (Peekskill, N.Y.) diving save on a shot from Alyssa Wesner for the score inside the right post.

With the Mustangs applying offensive pressure, Bailey Rutan (Cincinnatus, N.Y.) juked two defenders and nailed one from about 10 yards out to put Morrisville State on the board in the 84th minute, cutting the Lancaster lead to just one.

Lancaster was able to keep the Mustangs from netting another, forcing the play in the middle of the field for the remaining six minutes.

Marriott posted 13 saves in the loss in net for Morrisville State.

The Mustangs returned to the field Oct. 19, hosting Gallaudet University in a “Kickin It for Corbin” contest, raising funds for the Galisano Upstate Children’s Hospital in Syracuse, and awareness for childhood diseases.
