(Oneida, NY – Nov. 1, 2013) -State Police in Oneida investigated a three vehicle personal injury collision that occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. last evening on Middle Road at the intersection of County Route 36 and Valley Mills Road in the Town of Stockbridge.
The investigation revealed that Samuel M. Lyman, age 18, was operating a 1998 Ford pickup truck on Valley Mills Road when he stopped at the intersection of Middle Road. Lyman stated his foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator causing the pickup to enter the intersection.
A 2004 Honda CRV, driven by Walter J. Boronow, age 51, was southbound on Middle Road and unable to avoid the collision, struck Lyman on the passenger’s side door, which caused Lyman’s truck to strike a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by James A. Bean, age 50, from Oneida on the driver’s side door.
The following were reported injured in the crash and were transported for non-life threatening injuries
