To the Editor:
My name is Jeffrey Colburn and I have resided in Madison County my entire life. I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your support of Ann Jones who is running for the office of Madison County Clerk.
Ann has a clear vision for the office of County Clerk, now and for the future. For example, Ann believes there is a need for the expansion of round the clock online services. Ann realizes that services must not only be maintained, but also expanded in a fiscally prudent manner.
Ann has earned the endorsement of CSEA, New York’s leading union. She shares labor’s core principles and supports the top performing staff in the Clerk’s office and DMV. And speaking of the DMV, Ann supports keeping it as a Madison County entity rather that turning it over to the state as some other counties have done. Ann knows the value of the work performed by public employees and keeping this vital service local.
Ann is civic minded and has been active in community organizations for many years giving her a vision and perspective of the needs and challenges facing all of us where we live.
Ann has the education, expertise, and sense of community that will serve us all so very well, now and in the future.
In closing, I ask you to remember that character counts and integrity is priceless. I urge you to vote for good government on November 5th and that is a vote for Ann Jones.
