Harvest Supper Today in Canastota
(Canastota, NY – Nov. 2, 2013) Hope Christian Fellowship (HCF) is participating in a number of special events throughout November to which the public is invited.
On Saturday, Nov. 2 the Canastota Area Association of Churches (CAAC) is sponsoring a Harvest Dinner to be held 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Agatha’s Education Center, 329 North Peterboro St. Proceeds will benefit the Opportunity Shop, an ecumenical thrift store and food pantry located at 128 East Center Street.
Also on Saturday, Nov. 2, the Black Celestial Choral Ensemble of Syracuse University will present a concert at Hendricks Chapel on the campus quad. Admission is $10 per person.
On Thursday, Nov. 7 Billy Graham’s 95th birthday telecast “The Cross” will be shown as part of the My Hope for America with Billy Graham nationwide outreach. It will be shown on the large screen at HCF beginning at 6:30 p.m. There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served. Come and bring a friend!
On Saturday, Nov. 9, local men age 13 and up will gather 8:30 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. at North Syracuse Baptist Church, 420 South Main St. in North Syracuse, for the Iron Sharpens Iron 2013 National Men’s Equipping Conference. On Saturday, Nov. 16, H.I.S. Institute (HCF’s home education program) will present a full-length, award-winning documentary film entitled “IndoctriNation” at 10 a.m. Produced by home-schoolers, this movie compares and contrasts differing philosophies of public education and Christian education. There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, the CAAC annual community-wide Thanksgiving Service will be held at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 304 South Peterboro St. Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child will also be collected.
Hope Christian Fellowship regularly meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at 119 South Peterboro St.
