Morrisville Public Library News

Michelle ForwardBy Michelle A. Rounds, Library Manager

(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2013) Stop in and view our giving tree on display now until Jan. 31. Shop for the library this holiday season.  We have several items the library needs. It’s EASY.  Grab a Christmas tag off our giving tree of something you would like to donate to the library.  Buy it, donate it, whatever it says and bring the tag and the item in as soon as you can.  We would like all donations turned in by February 28, 2014.

Our free Tai Chi Chuan Class will meet again on Monday Dec. 2 at 6:30pm.  Come join instructor Bill Snyder.  Open to all teens and adults.  If you can’t make it that day, he will be here again on Dec. 9.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets on Tuesday Dec. 3 at 9:30am.  Bring the little ones and help us have fun hearing stories about mittens and make one to take home.  If you can’t make that day, join us on Tuesday Dec. 10 for books about reindeer.

We will be having a video game night on Friday Dec. 6 at 6:30pm.  Bring your handheld gaming system (DS, 3DS, or any other) OR come and play on our WII gaming system.  Play against other gaming enthusiasts.

Join us for our annual open house on Friday Dec. 13 from 5-7:30pm.  Come see what theme we chose this year for our Christmas tree.  Visit with library staff and the board and of course, eat some yummy goodies.  Take a break from the busy holiday with us.

Set the date on your calendar now.  We will be showing Polar Express, the movie on Friday Dec. 20 at 6:00pm.  Wear your jammies and we will provide the hot cocoa and cookies.  Bring the family in for a perfect night together.

We will be closed Thursday Nov. 28 through Sunday Dec. 1 to observe the Thanksgiving holiday.  We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
