Cazenovia Public Library news
(Cazenovia, NY – Feb. 2014) The Cazenovia Public Library Children’s Area has a new addition to its collection: Grandma Sally’s Book Bags. Grandma Sally’s Book Bags are given in part by a memorial gift in honor of Sally McDonald, who was Grandma Sally to her eight grandchildren and a lover of children, books and libraries.
The Book Bags are arranged by theme and include 10 paperback books along with suggestions of songs and activities to accompany the books. In addition to the thematic information included with each kit, information is provided just for parents about early literacy and ways to encourage their children to be lifelong readers and learners.
The Cazenovia Public Library is excited to share these story collections with area families. The Book Bags may be checked out for three weeks at a time and can be found in the Library’s children’s area.
