(Cazenovia, NY – March 2014) March movies in the Cazenovia Public Library Community Room conclude on March 27 with Saving Mr. Banks and on March 28 and 29 with Frozen.  As always, admission is free.

Saving Mr. Banks:

A non-fiction drama starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson, Saving Mr. Banks is the story of Walt Disney’s efforts in the early 1960’s to convince P.L. Travers, a proper Englishwoman completely set in her ways, to let him option the rights to Mary Poppins.

Travers grudgingly embarks on a trip from England to Los Angeles to discuss the possibility of turning her highly successful book Mary Poppins into a Disney motion picture.  But a clash between Travers and the Disney team occurs on virtually every level, and their interactions run the gamut from perplexing to infuriating and downright funny. Saving Mr. Banks will be shown at 3:15 and 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 27.  It is rated PG-13 for ages 10 and older and runs for 2 hours.

Audiences young, old, and every age in between will be captivated by Frozen, a Walt Disney Animation Studios production based on Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale The Snow Queen.

Frozen is a fairy tale about overcoming obstacles and the power of true love.  After the kingdom of Arendelle is cast into eternal winter by the powerful Snow Queen Elsa, her sprightly sister Anna teams up with a rough-hewn mountaineer named Kristoff and his trusty reindeer Sven to break the icy spell. (Amazon.com)
