(Hamilton, NY – April 2, 2014) Stuck in a rut or looking for a recommendation on a good book to read? Explore the Reader Recommendations section of our webpage, listed under “Library Resources” tab on the top menu. Here you’ll find book recommendations from patrons throughout the Mid York Library System and can browse most recent recommendations as well as most popular recommendations. Of course, not everyone has the same reading preferences, but it is sometimes nice to know what others are reading and enjoying.
Don’t forget about our Wowbrary service that provides email alerts updating you on the newest materials as they are added to our collection! To sign up, all you need to do is go to our website and click the “Get New Book Alerts!” tab on the top navigation menu, and provide your e-mail address. You’ll get the latest updates on our newest arrivals and if you see something you are interested in, can click on that item to directly access it on our online catalog. From there you can easily request an item or place a hold on it. If email updates are not the best option for you, Wowbrary also features our newest items on the right-hand side of our webpage as well as weekly updates on our Facebook page.
This is a fantastic service that helps connect our patrons directly to our most recent additions to our collections and keep everyone informed about what’s new at the library! Anyone can help to support the continuation of this service at no additional cost by using the “Buy Now” button on our webpage to begin their regular Amazon shopping. Amazon generously provides a percentage of the purchase back to our library for this Wowbrary service.

The library is normally open Monday-Friday, 10am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to1pm. Please visit or call the library (315) 824-3060 during these hours for assistance. The book drop at the front of the building is always available for your convenience.
