(Canastota, NY – May 2014) Essential oils have a variety of amazing uses. More people are using essential oils today than in the most recent past. Essential oils are used for everything from pampering yourself to cleaning and helping with various ailments. An essential oil is a fragrant liquid extracted from leaves, twigs, berries, bark, wood, root, flowers, citrus peels, or other plant matter. They are not actually oily, but have more of a water-like feel.
This month, you can learn the basics of essential oils at the Canastota Public Library. On Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. Heather Gordon will provide a beginners workshop on Essential Oil. This beginner’s workshop will explain how essential oils are made, how they work, and how to use them.
You will discover how essential oils can benefit your family, prevent sickness, and help you achieve a healthier lifestyle. This program will take place in the Lawson Community Room located in the lower level of the library. It is free and all are welcome but please RSVP by calling 697-7030 so that the presenter has enough samples to share.
The Canastota Public Library is located at 102 W. Center Street in Canastota, NY. You can check out all of the library’s program’s on their website at www.canastotalibrary.org.
