(Madison, NY – May 2014) Madison County Historian Matt Urtz presents Part I of a series called, “Madison County Exposed” on Monday, May 19 at 7 p.m. at the Madison Historical building, South Street, Madison. To continue the series, parts II and III will be presented during the following months on June 16 and July 21.

“Madison County Exposed” is a three part talk (Part I: 1780-1850, Part II: 1850-1899, and Part III: 1900-current time) that focuses on scandals, mysteries and salacious news stories that dominated conversation during their era. Urtz researched the talk, which deals with prominent murders, betrayals, embezzlements and even a Loomis Gang story or two.

Urtz will give brief synopses of the events and when possible, show photos relating to them.

The Madison Historical Society invites the public to attend this free program.  Donations are welcome.  Refreshments will be served.  Call 893-7910 for more information.
