(Canastota, NY – Sept. 2014) October is a great time to schedule yourself to learn something new. The Canastota Public Library is offering a few technology classes this fall.
On Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. join us for Introduction to Computers/Email. Angela Rigler will show new computer users the basics of their computer. In this presentation, Rigler will also help students to open and use an email account from a free provider. Introduction to Computers/Email is a very basic starter course.
If you’ve ever thought about branching out into Social Media, you may want to attend our Introduction to Facebook session on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. Beth Totten will show you how to set up a Facebook account, how to post comments, find friends and more. This is a course for people who have never used Facebook.
Have you ever thought about having your own website or blog? If so, you’ll want to join Beth Totten for Introduction to WordPress on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.WordPress can help you get a site up and running fairly quickly. This is a great program for writers, artists and entrepreneurs.
If you would rather learn at your own pace and would like individualized instruction on your computer or other device, please contact the library and staff will work with you to find a convenient time to help you with your technology learning needs. Individual sessions are tailored to your needs and pace of learning.
