Santa(Oneida, NY – Dec. 2014) Ginny Pendleton returns to Oneida Public Library on Wednesday evening, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. to host the 34th Annual Holiday Family Story Hour for children, their parents and family members.

The hour-long festivities will feature Christmas stories read by Pendleton and Max Smith, guest speakers who will talk about holiday customs around the world and an impromptu performance by the traditional Little Angels Band. Friends of the Oneida Library will provide refreshments.

The Holiday Story Hour will conclude with a visit from a very special guest in a red suit, who will read the Christmas classic “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” by Clement Moore and hand out gifts to the children.

For more than 15 years, Pendleton has hosted the OPL’s Holiday Story Hour. By day, she is a reading specialist at Durhamville Elementary School, a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church and a well-known volunteer for many good causes. She is the recipient of the 2014 Bill Fariel Vocational Excellence Award.
