(Hamilton, NY – Feb. 2015) We have recently had several boxes of donations left on our doorstep. Just a friendly reminder that we are not able to manage large volumes of donations throughout the year–and will be better able to accept boxes of materials in August, as the Friends of the Library prepare for the annual book sale. Even then, we are unable to accept donations when the library is closed and ask that you please do not leave donations anywhere outside the library building. Small donations of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs in good condition may be brought to the circulation desk during library hours throughout the year. We are currently looking for donations of audiobooks on CD that we might be able to incorporate into our collection. Please do not hesitate to call us at 824-3060 if you have any questions.
Along those lines, have you ever donated to or purchased something from the Friends of the Library Annual book sale or attended programs or events in the Community Room at the Library? The Hamilton Public Library and Friends of the Library proudly present a Community Room Open House on Thursday Feb. 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. You’re invited to stop by for a special open house in the Community Room, showcasing our new digital technology presentation equipment, made possible through funding from the Friends of the Library with money raised at their annual book sale. Additional information and refreshments will be provided by our fabulous Friends of the Library! We hope you can join us.
